Rudraksha beads should not be worn without sanctifying them. They should be blessed and empowered by chanting the specified mantras, performing the specific rites and rituals.

The "Shuddhikaran"(sanctification) pooja is performed prior to wearing any Rudraksha bead/mala. The sanctification ceremony follows steps like :

  • Sit on an "Asana" (straw mat) facing east.
  • The beads are then washed while chanting the Shiva mantra "Om Namah Shivay" with either

    • "Panchamrit" which is a mixture of raw milk(unboiled), honey, curd, "Desi Ghee" (clarified oil) and Ganga Jal.
  • After that the Rudraksha bead is washed with pure water(Ganga Jal) chanting the Sadyojaat Mantra :
    "Om Sadyojaatam Prapadyaami Sadyojataajava Namah,
Bhave Bhavenaati Bhave Bhavasvamaam Bhavodbhavay Namah"
    .
  • Then a sandalwood paste, "Ashatgandha" (a mixture of eight fragrances) and "Kesar" (saffron) solution is made. The beads are dipped in it for some time and are taken out while chanting the Vaamdev Mantra :
"Om Vamdevaya Namo Jyeshthaay Namah Shreshthay,
Namo Rudraay Namah Kaalay Namah Kala,
Vikarannaay Namo Bal Vikaranaay Namo Balaay,
Namo Bala Pramathanaay Namo Sarva Bhoot,
    Damanaay Namo Manomanaay Namah"
    .
  • While offering "Agarbati/Dhoop" (Incense), Aghor Mantra is chanted :
"Om Aghorebhyo Ghorebhyo Ghor Ghor Tarebhaya,
Sarvebhya Sarva Sharvvebhyo Namaste Astu Rudra Roopebhyah".
  • The Rudraksha bead is smeared with saffron chanting the Tatpurush Mantra:
    "Om Tatpurushaay Vidmahe Mahadevaay Dheemahi,
    Tanno Rudrah Prachodayaat"
    .
  • Eeshaan Mantra is chanted on each bead :
    "Om Eeshaanah Sarvavidyaanam Eeshwar,
Sarvabhootaanaam Brahmaadipati Brahmanaadhipati Brahma Shivome Astu Sadaa Shivom"
    .
  • Then the specified mantra for each Mukhi Rudraksha is chanted on that bead.
  • These should be worn on a Monday morning after touching with Shivlinga.
  • After this Maha Mrityunjaya mantra is chanted nine times :
    "Om Triayambakam Yajamahey,
    Sungandhim Pushti Vardanam,
Urvar Ukamiva Bandhanan, Mrityor Muksheeya Mamritat".
  • After completing the steps described above, both hands should be joined and the individual should chant :
"Maale Maale Mahaa Maale Sarvashakti Samanvite
Chaturvargaa Tvayinyistah Tasmaan Me Siddhidaa Bhav".

Rudraksha Shabar Mantra ,RUDRAKSHA MANTRA - THE COMPLETE SHABAR MANTRA

Rudraksha Shabar Mantra

Mantras are Sanskrit-invocations of the Supreme Being. Reinforced and propelled by japa meditation, they pass from the verbal level through the mental and telepathic states, and on to pure thought energy. Of all languages, Sanskrit most closely approaches telepathic language because of its affinity to the fifty primeval sounds. It is the most direct way to approach the transcendental state.

Mantras cannot be concocted or tailor-made for the individual, despite some current claims. They have always existed in a latent state as sound energies. Just as gravity was discovered but not invented by Newton, Mantras were revealed to the ancient masters. They have been codified in the scriptures and handed down from guru to disciple. Although it is customary for the guru when giving initiation to accept voluntary offerings of fruit, flowers or money, the selling of Mantras is strictly against all spiritual rules.

Neither Mantra, deity nor guru, once chosen, should be changed. There are many paths up the mountain. Perseverance on one alone will bring the aspirant to the top faster than if he were to spread his energies in exploring all the alternative paths.

why should one wear Rudraksha ?

Rudraksha unlike other forms of healing objects gives effect only if sanctified using Beeja mantras or panchakshar mantra " Namah Shivaya". Unless blessed by the respective God which the Rudraksha represents , it would not give full effects except the Bio medical effects. Therefore spiritual level of Rudraksha should never be undermined.

Rudraksha is a healing bead with divine characteristics proven over several thousand years of our culture, From Lord Shiva Himself all spiritual and great personalities have adorned themselves with rudraksha and with the benefits that people of modern age have derived from these , Rudra Centre has hundreds of testimonials from all over the world . It is beyond any doubt that this powerful bead has the potential to become a powerful tool to overcome stress and to combat fear.

As regards to the scientific or intellectual explanations other than related to faith or traditional wisdom , following explanations should be considered as basic parameters for the use of Rudraksha.

It brings us close to the Nature. "Rudraksha" is seed of a fruit from Rudraksha tree. Trees represent nature hence if the seed closely touches our body , we become one with nature, Like what all other animal kingdom does.

Feeling of Universal being is created. Rudraksha mala is also called Aksha mala . All letters (Akshars) of Sanskrit language are based on sounds and we all know that Lord Shiva's musical instrument Damaru created he Pratyahars and from these 50 letters were generated. The Akshar name given to letters denotes that letters Akshar like sounds can not be destroyed. The Rudraksha seeds in a mala (also called Aksha mala) represent these sounds and a feeling of belongingness to cosmos is perceived by wearing it and a person wearing Rudraksha represents a a part of cosmos .

Accupressure - good for heart . Constant stimulation of heart muscles by beads having smooth yet protruded surface keeps the blood pressure under control and hence it is considered good for the heart.

Watchful eye of Lord Shiva - Rudra-Aksha means eye of Shiva. If one wears Rudraksha he/she is under protection of watchful eyes of Lord Shiva.

Biomedical benefits - The Bio-Medical and electro-magnetic properties of Rudraksha are well known and scientifically proven and will give benefits to the body by improving their functions and keeping the diseases at bay. Like Neem , Tulsi, Haldi and other herbal products , Rudraksha is being evaluated wordwide by leading research laboratories and we should preserve our cultural heritage by accepting the traditional beliefs.

Blessings of different Gods - Different mukhi Rudraksha have their respective Gods as Pradhan Devatas from Lord Surya, Hanuman, Vishnu, Brahma, Durga and Kartikya and of course Lord Shiva himself , and by wearing them we get blessings of all of them.

Planetary blessings - Each of the mukhi rudrakha have their own ruling planet. 10 mukhi and 11 mukhi are beyond any planetary configuration. Hindu astronomers consider 14 galactical cosmos (14 Bhuwans) and therefore Rudraksha has all the blessings of Planetary Gods.

Confession of one's sins and for fearless life - If a human being wants to restart his life after committing a sin , where does he/she go? All of our epics on Rudraksha describe the potentiality of each mukhi rudraksha acting as divine objects before whom we can confess our sin and restart a fresh life free of regrets and remorse. Probably that is the reason why Rudraksha are considered to be relievers of stress and strain of life .

Spiritual Significance - Compared to any other mala, a Rudraksha mala for Jap and Sadhana is most auspicious. For enhancing spirituality and attaining Riddhi and Siddhi at all levels, Rudraksha is the most effective medium

Rudraksha is a Upa-Guru - If you have not found a Guru so far or even if have a Guru, Rudraksha will act like your Upa-Guru or a teacher substitute to show you the path and enlighten you to reach higher levels of wisdom and karma. .

Shaligram

Basically, saligrams are fossil-stones. Saligrams come in different sizes, color and shapes from round to umbrella shapes. In general saligrams are black stones found on the riverbank of Gandaki River. Sometimes we find reddish black, blue black or yellowish color saligram which are considered to be very rare. Different symbols and chakra formation on the inside and outside of saligrams are not the gifts of nature but are the contributions of river worms called Vajra-Keeta. Vajra Keeta takes shelter from saligram and during its stay makes chakra on the saligram with its teeth and nails which are harder than granite stone. There is a hole termed as vadana, meaning mouth, inside a saligram through which chakras can be viewed. Saligram stones are printed with various sacred symbols like sankha or conch, chakra or disc, gada or club, kurma or tortoise etc.
Vedic scripture like Vishnu Purana had detailed the historical versions regarding the origin of saligram. In the ancient times of gods and goddesses, a severe battle took place between Lord Shiva and demon Jallundhara and the battle continued for several days neither showing any signs of wining the battle. The chief reason for this was the devotions of Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva and Vrinda, wife of Jallundhara towards their husbands. Their devotions and faithfulness towards their husbands were acting as powerful protective shields and therefore neither of the two husbands was showing any slim chances of losing the battle. Jallundhara knew this and so disguised as Lord Shiva he went to goddesses Parvati to break off her faithfulness towards her husband. But Parvati with her divine power instantly became aware of the demon’s motive and demasqueraded the demon off his disguise. Parvati then suggested Lord Vishnu to implement the same scheme on Vrinda.
Obediently, Vishnu disguised himself as Jallundhara and went to Vrinda. Vrinda believing Lord Vishnu to be her husband surrendered to the physical intimacy. This broke off Vrinda’s faithfulness towards her husband and with this crumbled down Jallundhara’s protective shield woven by Vrinda’s devotion. Then immediately Lord Shiva demolished Jallundhara. When Vrinda came to know the whole truth, she got so furious that she instantly cursed Vishnu to turn into shapeless black stone. This very stone was later termed as saligram. Since Vishnu had to be turned into a saligram for a good cause that saved mankind from the tortures of demon Jallundhara, saligram was and is worshipped with very complete devotion and sincerity. In Vaishnavism, very rituals must involve the presence of saligrams.
Upon bathing saligram with water everyday, one can be erased off all the sins even the severe ones like Bramahatya, meaning killing of Brahmins and furthermore, by drinking the bathed water a person can attain physical, spiritual and mental gain. Such practice also releases a person from fear of death and assists in attaining eternal immortality. Even a damaged saligram can evoke its divine power for the welfare of mankind. It is believed that just by chanting saligram mantra all the sins get washed away.
Saligrams come in different varieties:

Vishnu Chakra Saligram
Narshima Saligram
Narayan Saligram
Shiva Linga Saligram
Vishnu Chakra Saligram
Ganesh Saligram
Matsya Avatar Saligram
Maha Lakshmi Saligram
Surya Saligram

Ayurveda a Healthy approach

As the term Ayurveda itself indicates, Ayur meaning life and Veda meaning knowledge or wisdom, it is the Vedic system of health care knowledge for building a perfect harmony between body, mind and soul. It is imbued with a philosophy of health and longevity to perfect the complete coordination and harmony of body, mind and soul. Modern day people perceive Ayurveda as a holistic science of life, health and longevity. Today’s Ayurveda evolved from ancient Vedic era prior to Rig Veda. Ayurveda adopts a holistic technique of diagnosing a particular disease and then finding an effective cure. It primarily delves into the root cause of a disease, finds its linkage with body, mind and soul and finally comes out with a permanent solution.
Ayurveda is based on a belief that all living objects are composed of five basic elements; air, water, earth, fire and space. “Tridosha” or three humours is the principle of Ayurveda. Humans’ physiology is based on these doshas which are classified into vata, pitta and kapha. Vata holds the key to nervous system, pitta to metabolic processes and kapha to blood and other body fluids circulation. Prakruti is a model adopted for scrutinizing the balances between the three doshas. When an imbalance occurs, Ayurveda instantly suggests a patient to abide by certain lifestyle, dietary regimen, exercise, yoga, herbal therapy and even spiritual practices. This shall restore and redress balance in body and mind. In order to regulate physiology, mind needs to coordinate with body. A healthy mind provides a secret key to sound health or body and this in turn purifies a soul. With the perfect harmony of all three body, mind and soul, one can lead a healthy life. In a nutshell, Ayurveda advocates for a very systematic disciplined lifestyle harmonizing all three material, physical and spiritual aspects of a human.
Since the ancient times, Ayurveda has surfaced itself as an effective remedy for treating diseases like obesity, rheumatism, indigestion or dyspepsia, skin problems, arthritis, joint pains, cough and common cold, firomyalgia, low back pain, asthma, liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, menopause, diabetes, heart diseases, skin care, psoriasis etc. Shodan, or cleansing, shaman or palliation, rasayana or rejuvenation and satvajaya or mental hygiene are the four major processes intervened for treating a disease. Natural herbs, plants and minerals are used in the large scale for making powders, tablets, decoctions, medicated oils etc which are prescribed to patients. Medication being made from the natural herbal ingredients does not produce side effects on patients. Along with the prescribed medicine a patient should follow strict diet, regular exercise, yoga and healthy lifestyle. In Ayurveda, for every disease information is given on definition, etiology, prodrome, clinical symptoms, pathophysiology, prognosis, principles of treatment, medicines, diet, lifestyle recommendations, and even etymology. This approach is strikingly similar to that of modern medicine and even more comprehensive.
